Holy shit I almost fell through the floor when K called and told me what the cost of fixing my car would be.
Had to be done. I apparently will be going on a diet this month. To make the best of it I will probably go on the Master Cleanse for 10 days. I've done it before, it wasn't too bad and I felt pretty good during and after. It's about time I cleansed the old liver and kidneys anyway. So that will take me to about the 15th. I may go to the food pantry tomorrow and I'll stock up on what I may need after the 15th. My brother is coming up around then anyway, and he is pretty good about feeding himself while he's visiting so that's cool. No worries about him then.
I bought a rebounder before I knew what my car repairs were going to be so I'll be using that too. Looking at the bright side with extremely rose colored glasses, this may not be a bad thing for me. If I can't afford to buy junk then I can't eat it, lol. I just wish I knew this was going to happen before I spent money over the weekend. ARGH!
However I DID get some pretty cool things on the 'day after Halloween Sale' at Target. I go to it every year. Not for Halloween decor...I use it as my normal home decor, lol!!
In other news: On New Year's Eve I get to sing backup for an entire gig. One of the guys will be gone and so I will fill in with vocals. Kinda cool! I did it once before but felt kind of disastrous because it was a spur of the moment thing ( T had a thought 'put Rave up there to fill in! so I did) and I didn't really know the harmonies (or words) to all of the songs. Some were ok, and some, lmao here, were really, really bad. I have been learning them since then, so this time it isn't a surprise and I at least have a fairly good repetoire in place. LOL. Really looking forward to it actually.
So...the rebounder gets here tomorrow. I had had an old one from T years ago, but the bolts holding the springs on broke (it was old) and I think it's somewhere in storage. This one does not have springs to break, and it's round and covered in soft fabric and very lightweight yet sturdy. Hopefully I'll get some use out of it. So I have a few things to look forward to :)
That's the news and I am outta here!
**edit: And even as I wrote this I realize that the furnace has gone out again. Third time in a week. The repair guy says it's fine, but IT IS NOT!!! I am going to go have some tea with freakin' whiskey in it and calm the f*ck down. I will end this post the way I began it. "Holy Shit."
